Legends Play the House
On the same night, it was great to see two Rock N Roll Legends. Stevie, as ever, looked and sounded great. With some changes from her old video backdrop and setlist, she appears prepared to tour for her upcoming CD due May 3. As a Stevie fan, I wish the show would have had more of an equal bill and not appeared to be Mt. Joy's opening act. Perhaps being in Detroit, with its history of old Rock and Roll and "Soul Train," the tour was billed more by the media. Rod, appearing for pictures as a look alike, "Do you think I'm Sexy posters," definitely is more of a showman and higher energy than Stevie, but his voice strength was poor. It was a sharp contrast between the two styles of which I felt her talent was not appreciated. Rod looked sexy and danced well with his choreographed dancers. I enjoyed the night, but liked Rod's tour in Cleveland a lot better a couple of years back. This was more of an old rock and roll Tour. Also, people were hour late, which disturbed my aisle view due to people getting to their seats late. The show started right on time.
